FAQ
THE DROP
The first drop will be limited in quantity and offered on a preorder basis. This approach allows us to maintain strict quality standards while ensuring timely delivery.
The watch preorder window will remain open for approximately two weeks or until available inventory is fully allocated. Orders will ship approximately four weeks after the preorder closes. Be sure to follow us @sentinel.watch.co on Instagram for updates.
Soft goods will be continuously available through the site, with the exception of collaborations and limited-edition releases, which will be offered in limited quantities for a defined period.
MOVEMENTS & REGULATION
All Sentinel models currently utilize NH35 automatic movements. From the factory, the NH35 is rated at –20 to +40 seconds per day.
We hold our watches to a higher standard. Each movement is regulated in-house prior to perform within ±10 seconds per day. In practice, on-wrist performance is often even more accurate.
The NH35 is an automatic movement, using a rear-mounted rotor to wind the watch through natural wrist motion, but can be manually wound as well.
TIME SETTING AND OPERATION
The NH35 features three crown positions and a hacking seconds hand.
Position 1 — Manual Winding
Start by unscrewing the crown counterclockwise until it clears the threaded crown tube. Once it has cleared the crown tube, turn the crown clockwise (toward 12 o’clock) to wind the mainspring.
While regular wrist movement will keep the watch wound, manual winding is recommended after the watch has been stationary for an extended period. Rotate the crown approximately 55 times to fully wind the mainspring.
The NH35 includes built-in safeguards to prevent overwinding.
Position 2 — Date Setting
Pull the crown out to the second position.
Turn the crown counterclockwise (toward 6 o’clock) to set the date.
Do not adjust the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may damage the quickset date mechanism.
Position 3 — Time Setting
Pull the crown fully out to the third position. The seconds hand will stop—this is normal and referred to as hacking seconds.
For precise time setting, wait until the seconds hand is aligned at or near the 12 o’clock position. Using a reliable reference such as time.gov, set the watch to the upcoming minute. For example, if the reference time is 12:11:26, set the watch to 12:12. When the reference time reaches exactly 12:12:00, push the crown back in to start the movement.
Securing the Crown
After winding or setting the watch, press the crown in towards the case and screw it clockwise onto the crown tube until fully seated. Ensure the crown is completely secured to maintain a proper water-resistant seal.
WARRANTY & REPAIRS
Sentinel inspects all components prior to assembly and warrants each watch against manufacturing and assembly defects. The mechanical movement is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or severe use, improper handling, impacts, accidents, unauthorized modifications or repairs, water damage resulting from an unsecured crown or improper use, magnetization, cosmetic wear such as scratches or scuffs, damage to the crystal or bezel, or consumable components including spring bars, straps, and gaskets.
This warranty is void if the watch has been opened, modified, or serviced by anyone other than Sentinel. Any evidence of caseback removal, tampering, or unauthorized adjustment will immediately void the warranty.
To initiate a warranty claim, please complete the form on our Contact Us page.
That said, our commitment extends beyond the warranty. If your watch requires service or repair for reasons not covered above, we will work with you to provide a clear and reasonable path to get your watch back in working order.
